Introduction

Dr. Gulzar is a graduate of the Aga Khan University Medical College, Karachi and holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Illinois Benedictine University, USA. She has over 27 years of extensive experiences in pharmaceutical marketing, hospital and university administration, ranging from operation management to strategic planning, clinical governance, risk management, quality management, and system processes.  

At the Dean’s office Dr. Gulzar is responsible for administrative work with Dean Medical College and Associate Dean Faculty. Has been a key team member of newly implemented faculty appraisal process with revised tools.

Within the Department of Surgery, Dr. Gulzar has worked on developing organizational structures and matrixes for accountability and designing faculty appraisal scoring systems with academic and service components. She has worked extensively within the institution as a physician auditor for the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA).

Dr. Gulzar is the Course Director for the Community Health and Leadership I and II course for the Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene Program.Also conducts the longitudnal theme of Introduction to Finance for fonal year Medical students since 2018 to date
