Is There an Elephant in the Room? Developing a Framework for Integrating AI into Clinical Practice

This Workshop was conducted by the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, in collaboration with the Network of Quality, teaching, and learning (QTL_net). The workshop focused on the impact of a disruptive innovation like Artificial Intelligence (AI) on healthcare, the challenges in implementing AI, and the competencies needed for healthcare providers to practice AI.
The goals of the workshop were:
- Exploring the potential advantages, challenges, and opportunities of integrating AI in clinical practice.
- Gaining the understanding for seamlessly integrating AI into services, education, and research.
- Creating an action plan for implementing AI solutions in healthcare.
