Our ongoing research is focused on investigating the issues of patient safety and quality of care in LMICs through:

• Systematically reviewing the burden of preventable harm.
  

• Developing and testing a novel patient and family-directed survey to estimate the burden of healthcare-acquired harming research capacity.

• Developing and validating a mixed methods approach to estimate preventable harm at AKUH, and scale it up for use at local and international levels.​
